According to a recent announcement by Kashif Mirza, the President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF), schools throughout the country will remain closed due to the emergency situation following the arrest of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
This decision has been made in light of the ongoing events and the need to ensure the safety and security of students, teachers, and staff members.
“In view of the emergency situation, private schools across the country will be closed tomorrow, May 10,” he said in a statement.
Mirza stated that the schedule for regular classes in private schools would be released after consultation on the following day.
He appealed to students, teachers, staff, and parents to remain calm and exercise caution in light of the emergency situation.
Following the arrest of the PTI chief, protests broke out throughout Pakistan.
To restore order amidst the widespread protests in the province, the Punjab government implemented Section 144.
