Tom Cruise’s Epic Climb to Burj Khalifa’s Top Hollywood’s Insane Stunt

The iconic Hollywood action star, Tom Cruise has moved the boundaries of what is possible in the film industry. Tom climbed the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, for his upcoming movie, “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.”

The stunt took place in 2010 and includes Cruise scaled to the top of the 828-meter tall skyscraper, which is almost twice the height of the Empire State Building.

The stunt was done without any safety precautions or ropes, as he wanted to make it as realistic as possible.

It took months of plannings and coordination between the filmmakers and the building’s engineers. Action star was fitted with specially
manufactured harness that allowed him to climb up the building’s facade while still being firmly fastened to its surface.

It was a difficult and dangerous stunt.

The film crew specially created camera system to record the action as hero ascended the skyscraper from various perspectives, including helicopter shots and point-of-view video.

The final result is an outstanding moment that will definitely written down in history as one of the
greatest feats in movie history.
