Cola Next CEO Zulfiqar Ahmed Reportedly Returns Home

Zulfiqar Ahmed, the owner of Cola Next and managing director of Paracha Textile Mills and Mezan Group, has safely returned home in Lahore after being abducted in Karachi on July 23, 2024.

The incident occurred when Ahmed was intercepted by eight armed men while driving his white Toyota Surf on Mauripur Road. The armed men forcibly took him away, causing great concern for his family and associates.

After the abduction, Ahmed’s family sought help from the Sindh High Court because the local police initially refused to register a complaint about the incident.

Responding to the family’s concerns, the court ordered the police to file a case, which was then officially registered at Kalri Police Station under Section 365, which deals with kidnapping or abduction.

Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho stated that two high-level investigation teams have been set up to probe the kidnapping. These teams, led by the Deputy Inspector General of the CIA and the Zonal DIG, are working diligently to uncover the details of the case and ensure justice is served.

Ahmed’s safe return marks the end of a distressing episode for his family and the business community, who had been anxiously awaiting news of his whereabouts. The case highlights ongoing concerns about security and law enforcement responses in the region.
