The video generated mixed reactions on TikTok, with some finding it amusing and others appreciating the passenger’s preparedness.
However, it was clarified in a follow-up video that the parachute was for recreational skydiving at the destination in Miami, not as a safety precaution.
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines permit carrying parachutes, but additional screening may be required.
