Lahore Authority Bans Students From Driving to School

The Lahore Education Authority has issued a mandate instructing school administrators to prevent students from bringing unlicensed motorcycles and cars onto school premises.

This decision aims to address challenges posed by underage drivers, causing concerns for both traffic police and school administrations.

Schools failing to enforce this directive may face strict consequences.

Class leaders are tasked with advising students against bringing vehicles to school, and school heads are encouraged to educate students on traffic laws.

In cases of violation, teachers will contact parents. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to tackle underage driving issues in Punjab, including fines imposed on over 19,000 drivers under 18 in the past weal.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has warned parents of potential stringent actions for allowing underage driving.
